DCA client and award-winning interior designer Mark Zeff will be a 2017 Honoree for Interior Design magazine’s Hall of Fame. One of the highest honors of his profession, this award recognizes a lifetime of outstanding contribution to the interior design industry.
Mark Zeff, the founder of the world-renowned and namesake design firm MARKZEFF, is a lifestyle thought leader for hotel and restaurant design, architecture, residential interior design, and home furnishings, all greatly inspired by decades of extensive globe-trotting. His architecture and design firm, founded in 1985, emphasizes innovation and originality in every project, which is evident in the extraordinary environments he has created all over the world.
Delivering on high-profile projects for decades has earned both Mark and his firm a stellar reputation for cutting-edge design, attention to detail, consistent high-quality execution, and providing unique perspectives on the industry. The firm has had a very exciting range of projects over the years including numerous luxury residential and hospitality projects, and also high-end retail and real estate development, product and brand development, and super yacht design. Recent and current hospitality projects are for Virgin Hotels, Canopy by Hilton, and Kimpton.
In addition to running his own eponymous interdisciplinary firm for 30+ years, Mark and his wife Kristen are also the visionary couple behind BLACKBARN, a multi-faceted lifestyle brand that embodies living with ease, sumptuous beauty, and style simultaneously, with this aesthetic first realized in the design of their new home in the Hamptons.
On November 30th, 2017, Mark Zeff will receive this honor at the 33rd annual Interior Design magazine Hall of Fame dinner, a black-tie event in New York’s River Pavilion at the Javits Center. Previous inductees include legendary figures such as Albert Hadley, Frank Gehry, and fellow DCA clients Roger Thomas, Clodagh, and Robert A.M. Stern.
