Gabriele Rosina was raised in Milan, and is a graduate of Politecnico di Milano, a leading Italian university renowned for architecture and design degree programs. While working almost a decade in New York in the role of Designer at Donghia, Gabri built a portfolio of best-selling upholstery and lighting designs by consistently meeting market needs with stylish, comfortable and timeless furniture. During that time, he also perfected a strategic approach to the home decor business, developing the skills needed to operate worldwide while fostering creativity and collaboration among diverse teams.
Known to most friends and colleagues as Gabri, he started his design career in Venice working at Rubelli, the storied Italian home furnishings company, where he learned to infuse his artistic creativity with the grounded, workshop-centric approach of a leading manufacturer of Italian luxury goods. This combination of creativity and practical knowledge about creating couture-level upholstery would become his signature design methodology in the marketplace.
After founding his Design Studio in Barcelona in 2020, Gabri has more recently designed furniture and lighting collections under his own name and for American and global brands such as Donghia, Kravet, Theodore Alexander, and GP&J Baker.
