Alex Woogmaster and his eponymous design firm, Woogmaster Studio, announce the recently completed renovation of the entire pool deck area at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada. The pool deck has been completely rethought to bring lushness and nature back to the pool, while continuing to contemporize with technology that provides a seamless and efficient guest experience. Freshly replanted gardens filled with neo-baroque shaped hedges are matched by a palette of deep and light blues, spring greens, and ivories. Check-in kiosks reduce wait times for extended pool time.

The pool deck’s cafe underwent a stunning transformation, emerging as Como, a refined yet relaxed destination that seamlessly blends classical elegance with poolside comfort. The renovation required a complete reimagining of the space, resulting in a beautifully reconfigured layout. It features a freestanding bar and lounge leading into an intimate dining area, both designed to offer an elevated culinary experience with lush garden views and a sophisticated ambiance.

Drawing inspiration from the historic villas of Lake Como, the cafe’s design embodies a chic coastal aesthetic. A palette of soft golds and crisp whites sets the tone, with striped cabana flooring and a striking baroque-inspired ivy scroll adorning the back wall.

Seating designs for the café, cabana, and pool areas are just as thoughtful — woven wicker banquettes and the new Varenna collection adorn the café and cabanas, while the pool areas are furnished beautifully with the new Avant collection. The Avant collection was a recent winner of the Archiproduct Design Award, due in large part to its pool-friendly stackable and lightweight design sensibility, and both the Avant and Varenna collections were crafted in collaboration with Walters Wicker.

This updated Las Vegas oasis includes four large pools spread across two acres. A splash pad is perfect for kids to play, while the upgraded and centrally located pool chairs, in-pool ledge loungers, and daybeds create the ultimate destination for relaxation.
