For more than three decades, Mark Evans and Charley Brown’s studio has continued the hands-on tradition of Rubens and David, designing and executing trompe l’oeil works, decorative painting, and murals with extraordinary care and detail. Drawing on a myriad of influences, “from Rococo to Rothko,” the work of Evans & Brown can be found worldwide in hotels, embassies, restaurants, residences, private clubs, libraries and other public buildings. The work ranges across archetypical Renaissance quadratura ceiling frescoes to charming pastoral landscapes of California’s wine country.
Through its relationship with Design Commerce Agency, Evans and Brown creates contract wallcoverings for Koroseal Interior Products, digital murals for Koroseal’s Digital Studio, and wallpapers for residential markets for Brewster Home Fashions. Evans and Brown also designs textiles for Hunter-Douglas Hospitality.
