DCA provides an update on client Lori Weitzner during her busy, eventful year.
Lori Weitzner, her design studio, and her textile consulting business continue to forge new ground in the world of textile craftsmanship and product launches, even during this challenging year. After her highly successful book launch of ‘Ode to Color: The Ten Essential Palettes for Living and Design’ with Harper Collins in late 2016, Lori immediately began work on a innovative textile-infused jewelry and accessories line, which is available on her recently launched ecommerce website and blog. A lovely curated bridal accessories collection was added for 2020, and Lori shared her own thoughts and recommendations on how women can make their own wedding day special and memorable.
Lori’s recent activities merely reflect the latest evolution of her life-long dedication as a textile designer and artisan. She is internationally known for her contributions to the world of textiles, wallcoverings, rugs, passementerie, bedding, and other products for home furnishings and gifting. Her work is in the permanent collections of museums such as the Cooper-Hewitt in New York and The Victoria Albert in London. She is the recipient of more than thirty prestigious design awards, and her work is featured regularly in the media, through Elle Décor, Architectural Digest, and The New York Times.
Through it all, Lori’s passion as a textile designer and artisan continues to shine brightly in 2020. Some great photography of Lori’s recent work is shown below, which encompasses always pushing the envelope in fiber and yarn construction, new weaving techniques, added finishing techniques, and new factory sourcing.
