Two Superstar Designers for Speakman

November 13, 2018
At the Boutique Design New York trade show, Speakman hosted an event to showcase two beautiful new bath fitting collections: Lura by Clodagh Design, and Vector by Roger Thomas.

Known for decades for the iconic showerheads loved by millions, Speakman has moved decisively into the luxury bath fittings category with the expanded Lura® collection and the new Vector® collection.  An exciting launch event was held at the BDNY Speakman trade show booth to promote and answer questions about the new product. Both Lura and Vector provide the clean, contemporary lines demanded today by homeowners and hotel designers alike, and feature cutting-edge finishes like Polished and Brushed Nickel, Polished Chrome, Polished Brass, Brushed Bronze, and Matte Black.

For the Lura collection, Clodagh and her team applied their award-winning  Life-Enhancing Minimalism™, a design approach that Clodagh believes can transform people’s lives.   The Lura faucet design features a single spout design with three unique handle controls, giving consumers a choice when remaking any bath into a personal retreat.  New bath accessories beyond faucets and showerheads have also been recently added to the Lura line to transform the entire bath. “Our work with Speakman is proof that great design is an experience,” said Clodagh. “They are the perfect partner for our studio, as their attention to detail, performance, durability, and sustainability walks hand in hand with their sense of design.”

For the Vector collection, Roger Thomas designed the first Speakman showerhead created by a guest designer, creating a stunningly beautiful synthesis of design and engineering.  More generally, Vector represents a modern assortment that is ideally suited to elevating the guest experience in 4 and 5 star hotels and resorts, or in a consumer’s home bath.  Roger remarked “Today’s luxury consumer wants what she experiences in a great hotel. Speakman understands this, and so the commercial opportunity for distribution lies in both hospitality projects and consumer retail.”
