Will Zhang was born and raised in Los Angeles, and the city’s rich tapestry of cultural and lifestyle elements imbue his own way of living as well as his design sensibility. After getting an Industrial Design degree at The Art Institute, Will spent sixteen years at LA-based Emtek where he worked his way up in the company to lead design and branding initiatives across hardware and bath products. During this time, he learned to infuse his artistic creativity with the more business-centric elements of design – usability, function, branding, and marketing. This combination of creativity and practical knowledge made him an industry leader and a frequent speaker and interviewee at trade shows across the United States.
In 2025, Will founded his own design firm Will Zhang Design and joined Design Commerce Agency to develop his design portfolio beyond hardware and bath products through third-party licensing to retailers and manufacturers.
